Deep Tissue Massage + Lymphatic Drainage

Treatment which is suitable for active and sedentary people. In our daily life we suffer from muscle tightness and poor lymphatic system flow due lack of movement, exercise or even tight clothing. During your deep tissue massage your therapist will activate your lymph nodes with light pressure.

A BIT ABOUT THE LYMPHATIC SYSTEM

The Lymphatic system is closely connected to the blood system and can be considered as supplementing it. Its primary function is defensive: to remove bacteria and foreign materials, thereby preventing infection. It also drains away excess fluids for elimination from the body.

WHY GENTLE?

Lymphatic vessels are very near to the surface of the skin so excessive pressure will simply squash them and make the vessel collapse, therefore pressure used is no more than 1 millimetre depth.

WHY COMBINED WITH MASSAGE?

The lymphatic system is a subsidiary circulation enticed with the blood circulation, therefore massage combined with Manual Lymphatic Drainage has shown the best results.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Inflammatory disease or fever

  • Active-cancer patients or an undiagnosed lump
